The Municipality of Brežice founded the Brežice Organization for Business and Tourism (hereinafter referred to as “ZPT Brežice”) for the purpose of planning, organizing and performing promotional and information activities, promoting tourism services marketing in Slovenia and, above all, in foreign markets, as well as promoting and fostering entrepreneurship in the Brežice municipality.

The main areas of activity in accordance with Article 6 of the Ordinance on the Establishment of the Public Institution of ZPT Brežice
(OG RS, No. 17/06, 35/06):
-  preparing and implementing the strategy of tourism and entrepreneurial development,
-  preparing business and tourism projects,
-  developing a comprehensive tourist offer,
-  informing visitors in the context of the Slovene tourist offer and its promotion,
-  cooperating and associating with the national tourist organization and other related organizations,
-  integration of tourist associations’ activities and administrative assistance in their operation,
-  encouraging the development and planning tourist infrastructure facilities,
-  fostering and promoting tourist and business activities,
-  planning and performing marketing and information and promotional activities,
-  organizing and implementing joint participations in fairs and other presentations at home and abroad,
-  organizing and implementing joint event activities and coordinating the calendar of events,
-  organizing and performing communication with the public and joint advertising,
-  researching and analyzing individual tourism markets and markets for the development of enterprise,
-  keeping, processing and analyzing data on tourism turnover,
-  analyzing the effects of promotional activity,
-  cooperating and associating with other operators in the field of tourism and enterprise,
-  developing new tourist products,
-  advising entrepreneurs and promoting business environment to foreign investors.
